Golden Ratio Logos

For the golden ratio project, my original idea for a logo was a dragonfly, but as you can see in the photos below I was not able to properly create one. I found it difficult to draw an insect solely with golden ratio circles as they are made up of many small pieces, something that is hard to do with the illustrator shape builder. That's why I decided to change my icon to a bird instead. Although the team name is Vancouver Ravens the bird actually used as a reference is a crow. 'Vancouver Crows' just doesn't sound as good. This is the image I used as a reference, although I also used various other images to try to place the wings correctly: The logo I created from that looks like this: After that, I created a couple variations of text and colour: Out of all of the icons, my favourite is definitely the one in the bottom left. I like the blue colour as well as the font.
